Creating a Return Service

When creating a return label, customers will need to have a return service used exclusively for return shipments.

Purpose:

Creating a carrier service that is used exclusively for return label generation will tell the software to flip the Ship From and Ship To addresses when requesting the shipping label from the carrier.  

Requirements:

  • You MUST have a carrier service that has Print Scan Return Label as an available Special Service 

Step by Step:

  1. Select the Settings Tab and select Carrier Services

  2. Click New Carrier Service

  3. Select a Service in the drop-down

  4. Give the Service a Class Name. For example, USPS Priority Mail. 
  5. Create a Carrier Code based on the Service Name. P03-R  is used here because Priority Mail Service is a return-only method.

  6. Under Disabled Special Services, drag the Print Scan Return Label service to the Assigned Special Services.
  7. Check the box under Auto Apply
  8. Click Save in the right-hand corner
